Teacher Prep
Since the Harvard convening in May, Bank Street College of Education initiated a project focused on making quality teacher preparation financially sustainable in the United States.
The goal is to develop a set of strategies for sustainably funding clinically rich teacher preparation, and to partner with the federal government or a small number of states or districts to significantly expand the number of teachers prepared through quality programs. With an eye on securing a dedicated funding stream for this work within 3-5 years, Bank Street authored the initial concept and subsequently engaged other organizations in the Transforming Teaching network to collaborate and provide feedback on this exciting work.
